A $100 per person good-faith deposit holds your place in line for a chosen trip. A deposit is fully refundable and does not by itself confirm a spot on any trip. Deposits may be held toward a future Starling Collective departure (for example, applied from one trip to another) at your request.
A trip proceeds only once it reaches its minimum number of committed travelers and final pricing has been set with our travel partners. At that point, all families holding a deposit will be invited to enroll in the monthly payment plan for that trip. Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis until the trip reaches capacity. Enrolling in the payment plan — not the deposit alone — is what confirms a family's place on a trip.
When invited to enroll, you will have one week to enroll in the payment plan or decline for a full refund of your deposit. Once you enroll, your monthly payment schedule begins per the terms provided with your final trip confirmation.
Trip costs are paid in monthly installments and must be completed approximately 60 days before departure. The number of payments depends on when you join. Trip costs do not include international airfare, airport transfers, meals not specified, gratuities, or personal expenses.
Trip prices are quoted in good faith and may be adjusted for exchange rate fluctuations, inflation, and changes in supplier costs until finalized. Final pricing is confirmed before your deposit becomes committed.
After the confirmation window, cancellation and refund terms follow the schedule provided with your final trip confirmation. We strongly recommend travel insurance. [Attorney to specify the post-confirmation cancellation schedule.]
The Starling Collective does not provide childcare or supervision. Parents and guardians travel with and are solely responsible for their own children at all times.
Travel involves inherent risks. The Starling Collective and Esteem Journeys act as coordinators of travel services provided by independent third-party suppliers and are not liable for the acts, errors, or omissions of those suppliers. [Attorney to complete liability, force majeure, and dispute-resolution terms.]
